The Practice
Seven connected areas, worked on together
Your results depend on seven connected areas of performance. Most coaching works on two or three. We work on all seven, because a change in one shifts the others.
- Physical and mental energy
- Decision quality
- Handling pressure
- Influence and sponsorship
- Strategic clarity
- Identity and purpose
- Use of time
How we work together
Every relationship starts the same way and develops at your pace.

A confidential conversation
No charge and no obligation. We learn about your situation and what you want to achieve, and we are both candid about whether we are the right fit.
A performance diagnostic
A focused, fixed scope engagement over about six weeks. It includes validated assessments of energy, stress, decision-making and wellbeing; in depth conversations about your career, your strategy and your experience as a leader; confidential interviews with people who work closely with you; a review of how your time is actually spent; and a written report and debrief setting out your strengths, your risks and three clear priorities. The report is yours to keep, whatever you decide next.
An ongoing partnership
Typically 12 to 24 months of one to one work on the priorities the diagnostic identifies, with progress reviewed each quarter against your baseline. If you prefer, part of our fee can be linked to outcomes you define, such as a funding round closed or a board milestone reached.
Where the work can lead
As the work develops
The work can extend to your senior team, to focused sessions with that team on a single high stakes decision such as a raise, an exit or a key hire, and in time to a small, invitation-only network of leaders who have done the work.
For teams and networks
We run half-day workshops for leadership teams, investor portfolios and professional networks, on subjects such as reading high-stakes feedback accurately and performing under sustained pressure. They offer a practical introduction to our approach.
What the work focuses on
| Outcome | What it looks like |
|---|---|
| Clearer priorities | Knowing which few bets matter most, and having the conviction to stop the rest. |
| Sharper decisions | Better calibrated judgement, and the ability to separate real feedback from noise. |
| Steadier performance | Handling pressure without paying for it in sleep, health or relationships. |
| Stronger influence | Sponsors who advocate for you, and a calendar that serves your strategy. |
Founding engagements
We take on a limited number of founding engagements each year. Founding clients work directly with both founders, help shape how our methods develop, and benefit from founding terms. If the timing is right for you, we would welcome a conversation.
